Student Responsibilities

All students need to start sessions on time and come prepared with calculator, math text and/or notes, and any tools required.

Students need a reliable internet connection!  Also, while you may be able to join our Zoom meetings from a phone, this is not the best way to see our shared board and get the most from these meetings.  We suggest you use a device that allows a full screen view with a headset.

Students need to be able to hear and concentrate.  Please find a quiet spot with minimal distractions to join the session.  No background TV, music, active family members, etc. 

Priority for topics will be given to any homework problems or questions submitted before each session.    You must work on your own in addition to these sessions (in other words, we cannot do all homework for you).

To ensure this is the best learning opportunity for the student, the sessions will be between the student and tutor.  Parents are welcome to view in the background as silent observers.   If there are any questions or concerns, please email Math-Boost any time.

Unfortunately, session time slots are stacked in after-school hours and flexibility is limited.  When you have an appointment you are purchasing that time slot.  If a student is not present within 15 minutes of the session start, the session is forfeited with no make-up session.  I will not be available to start the session after the 15 minutes as I have moved on to make the best use of my time. If you have a request to shift or reschedule a session please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to fit it in.  A minimum of 48 hours is required for any session that needs a reschedule/make-up.  Last minute cancellations will be a forfeited session as I cannot fill that hour with another student.
